Mudhol Hound Goes Missing in Kamshet Village; Owner Fears Leopard Attack
Kamshet, Pune | April 8, 2025
A beloved 11-year-old Mudhol Hound named Symba has gone missing from the Nesave village area near Khandshi Road in Kamshet, Maval Taluka, Pune district. Symba was last seen on the evening of April 3, 2025, and despite ongoing search efforts, there has been no trace of him.
The area, surrounded by dense jungle, has raised fears of a possible leopard attack, though the family is holding on to hope and appealing to the public for any information.
Symba, a male hound with a distinct white to off-white coat with hints of red, also has a cut on one ear—a key identification mark. At the time of his disappearance, he was undergoing treatment for cancer, making his recovery and safe return all the more urgent.
“We’re devastated and not ready to give up. Symba is not just a pet—he’s family. If anyone has seen or heard anything, please help,” said a family member.
Symba was last seen in the village of Nesave, a quiet locality surrounded by hilly terrain and forest cover, making the search especially difficult.
