Another good News came this year. Mooze , a missing black Labrador dog is finally reunited with family on Jan 6, 2014. Â Mooze went missing on Dec 31, 2013 from Hyderabad. Â The owner has informed Missing Dog Helpline that distributing posters in the area worked perfectly. This dog was rescued by a dog lover and contacted the owner Mr. Sushil after seeing the missing dog posters. Â Mooze is finally with family after 6 days.
“Those 6 days were the worst days of my life” says Sushil, the dog owner. Sushil shares his experience with Missing Dog Helpline (MDH*)Â Â
*MDH: How you got to know that Mooze is missing?
Sushil: From my Caretaker as I was not in town.
MDH: Whom did you call/ contact first?
Sushil: Police Station.
MDH: Did you find any Helpline Service when your dog is lost?
Sushil: No
MDH: Any organization that helped you in any manner?
Sushil: Missing Dog Helpline gave me confidence and hope.
MDH: Did you try to file an FIR?
Sushil: Yes, but they do not register FIR for Pet dogs / cat.
MDH: Did you print posters?
Sushil: Yes, actually this is the best and effective way to find your pet dog. This worked for us.
MDH: Did you declare some reward in posters?
Sushil: No, but we did give some cash reward to rescuer.
MDH: Do you feel declaring Reward works?
Sushil: Yes … anything to get him back home.
MDH: Have you been contacted by someone seeking money to provide clue of Mooze ?
Sushil: No
MDH: What was the duration of missing dog situation?
Sushil: 6 Days.
MDH: How stressful was you life during missing period?
Sushil: Worst 6 days of our life….. Mooze is family.
MDH: Did it hamper your daily work?
Sushil: Absolutely was not able to focus on my family as well work.
MDH: Who informed about location of Mooze?
Sushil: One gentleman who saw the posters in RC Puram and called back.
MDH: Health condition of Mooze when recovered?
Sushil: Not great. He was very scared, tired and depressed
MDH: Any suggestion to other dog owners?
Sushil: Please don’t panic if your dear pet is missing. Make people aware about the lost pet by distributing the pictures and posters. There are good people and organisations that will surely help you. Lastly, don’t lose hope.
