A Fawn coloured male Labrador dog is found on Bal Chitrawani campus on BMCC RD, Pune on Nov 24, 2013. This handsome dude wandered into the Bal Chitrawani campus 4 days ago. He is obviously lost and has been through rough times, judging from the wounds on his body. He must have run away during Diwali and is now completely lost. It appears as though some dogs have bitten him. The poor guy has a big wound just under his tail and some smaller bit marks on his thigh and hind leg.
The Bal Chitrawani – SSC board section – watchmen and workers have been taking good care of him. They even took him to a Vet and got him injected and treated for the maggot wound near his tail. They call him Johnny (an ‘English name for an English dog’ they said!)
He is docile and friendly. Has a handsome leather collar with ghungroos around his neck.  Dr Sushma Date has rescued this dog. and she informed that the dog jumped into her car when she opened the door and it seems is quite comfortable sitting on a two wheeler too. He loved the dog food and boiled egg she gave him. But apparently refuses to eat meat.
Till the owner is found, the Bal Chitrawani guys will be taking care care of this lost dog. He is quite happy there so I don”t think we need to shift him elsewhere and traumatize him further. Some of us will feed and walk him every day. If you know who this dog belongs to, please contact Missing Dog Helpline or call the rescuer directly at +91 982206 1155.
