Good News! .
A missing female Indian dog from Hyderabad is finally reunited with family on march 20, 2014 at around 02:00 am. Munni was missing since March 17, 2014. The dog owner Anand & family is very happy to see Munni back home.
It was the day of Holi and and dog owner Mr Anand had a sudden crowd in his apartment with drums and other enjoying the revelry. He knowing that the dogs won’t be enjoying the situation had already reached the ground floor to take them away to his flat. Mostly all the three ‘pups’ come over running on hearing his master’s whistle, it was rather strange that he did not notice Munni which were the first signs of something not being right!
The first reaction was a frantic search of the apartment premises and then sent people around the locality to find her. Had made the first calls to Blue Cross to check what can be done in this situation. www.ilostmydog.in was the first result when he was trying to get online to post queries and this was a boon is disguise with people sharing the post on FB and a couple of people getting in touch via WhatsApp. Mr. Anand expresses his sincere thanks to all who were trying to do their best for them.
He had seen the posts on Missing Dog Helpline website & social media. Blue Cross was of great help in giving out local info on how this can be handled and procedure to file an FIR. However, he did not file an FIR because wanted to wait for a couple of days before doing so. Anand had informed the Govt. Vet Hospital also which is right opposite his apartment to keep a lookout for his dog in case she turns up with someone else there. He had printed pics of her for the staff there.
Anand said that this lost found situation was very stressful. It was like losing someone from your own life, after all every life is important and her antics were something that they were all missing. It hampered his daily work. “Thoughts keep lingering on in your mind. It surely does affect you”, said Anand
By the way, along with Munni are Sheela & Basanti the other pups that they have and adore. All of them are country dogs and yes all female as well. They were born in his apartment complex only to their mother and for the first time he had seen that there were 8 pups and all 8 female and all survived which was an amazing feeling. He had taken care of these 8 pups for 2 months till they were all in good health. Munni, Sheela & Basanti stayed with them while the rest he had them sent to Blue Cross for adoption.
Munni was smart, looks to have traced her way back and came home at 02:00 in the morning and woke up the watchman. Smart street dog. Munni was just scared and looked to be in good health. Anand added “The moment she saw him she jumped and started to cry. I was in tears myself almost and had to carry her in my arms for more than 25 mins till she finally calmed down”.
So finally a happy ending! 🙂
